Touching Lives
The Ridge Casino aims to uplift and enrich the community in which we live. Through our various initiatives we endeavor to make a difference in the lives of those who really need it.
We have selected to address the area which we believe will make a significant impact on the daily lives of individuals. The contribution we make will ensure that our involvement is sustainable.

While there are many other charity organizations that The Ridge supports through minor initiatives, the focus of our events and projects will be on the following organization:
The Middelburg Care Village:
Based in Middelburg, this centre is for abandoned and abused children - some also of whom have been affected or infected by HIV / AIDS. The age of the children ranges from 4 to 16 years. The Care Village has 7 houses and The Ridge has adopted all the houses. There are currently 90 children in the Care Village.
The Ridge works towards a brighter future.
The world today is full of gadgets and technical know how, and it has come to the point where one can almost not operate without all these technical devices. One fundamental tool is a computer.
The Ridge Casino, Hotels & Entertainment has embarked on a program to ensure selected children at the Middleburg Care Village are more than capable on a computer to better their career opportunities. The Ridge's IT department installed a computer and are visiting them on a weekly basis to guide them on basic operations as well as the technical components of a computer. One child has been given her own personal computer and The Ridge will continue to give personal computers to the "shining stars". Through this we not only supply them with basic tools, but afford them the opportunity to continuously grow.
Other worthy causes:
The CSI department of The Ridge Casino receives a large number of requests from the local community. Although all of them are deserving projects, The Ridge can only support a few requests.

The Ridge Casino team also donated a jungle Gym, a gas heater, toys, soccer balls and a cricket set to the school. Further to this they got their hands dirty to repaint the school’s play area in its entirety.
