The Ridge Casino commemorates Women’s day with special ladies golf day

The Ridge Casino is calling all lady-golfers to be part of its special Ladies Golf Day being held on Friday the 12th of August in commemoration of national women’s month. Proceeds raised through the event will be donated to kabot Baby Health Centre in eMalaleni.

The golf day takes place at Witbank Golf Course followed by a sumptuous dinner and prize-giving at the Ridge Casino.
“For the past four years, we have hosted a special ladies golf day in celebration of national women’s day and the great spirit of the women in our community. Aside from giving our local ladies a chance to hit the course and enjoy some time out, the event also serves to raise funds for a needy charity. This year we have chosen Kabot Baby Health Centre to benefit.

“Each year, participation grows and in 2010, we had 72 lady-golfers at the event. This year we are hoping for a record number of participants and to beat the funds we raised last year,” says Maureen Kivits, General Manager at The Ridge Casino and Entertainment Complex.

The fee per four ball is R800, which includes the green fees, a branded shirt and cap, lunch, a goodie bag, and prize giving dinner. The day kicks off at 10:00 with a shotgun start and the tournament will follow a better ball format.

Companies are also welcome to sponsor a hole for the day. Holes cost R500 and monies raised through these sponsorships will be put into the charity kitty. Companies wishing to sponsor a hole must contact Peter Mentor on 013 655 9498 or email- peterme@tsogosun.com.
