The Ridge is treating moviegoers to a free screening of the latest family comedy, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, at The Ridge Cinema on Sunday, 11 September at 14:30 – five days before it officially hits the cinema’s big screen.
“We would like to treat local residents and our loyal customers to a free screening of the new Spy Kids movie before anyone else gets to see it, and to top it all off, movie goers will be able to enjoy this experience in 4D!” says The Ridge Casino’s Marketing Manager, Thapelo Modise.
Places are limited so Thapelo urges people to visit The Ridge’s Club Festival Desk to collect their tickets as soon as possible as they are limited. This new movie is the fourth instalment in the Spy Kids series and features Jessica Alba, Jeremy Piven and Joel McHale.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, the movie is about a retired spy who is called back into action, and to bond with her new step-children she invites them along for the adventure to stop the evil Timekeeper from taking over the world.
What makes this movie so spectacular is the fact that it is screened in 4D. This means that with admission tickets, kids and parents will receive an ‘Aromascope’ card that has the eight numbers emblazed upon it. As the numbers flash on the movie screen, the audience will rub the corresponding number on their card and take a whiff to smell the action on the screen. Moviegoers will have a total of eight special occasions throughout the film to interact via smell. Please note that the movie itself will be played in 2D and not 3D.
